Sleep apnea has traditionally been treated with CPAP or through a surgical approach in a hospital setting. However at The Cure For Snoring we have found that with our diagnostic process and comprehensive treatment plans, we are able to treat mild to moderate sleep apnea in our office setting.
The word apnea is Greek and it means "without breath.” Those suffering from sleep apnea will randomly stop breathing in the middle of night. More aggressive cases can result in a person who stops breathing hundreds of times a night. A person suffering from sleep apnea can stop breathing for a minute or longer. Eventually, with each apnea episode, the brain briefly arouses the individual to breath again. However, sleep is regularly disrupted.
